Hi everyone,
Jenny here. I’ve been making dumplings since I was 9 years old.
We opened our first restaurant, Yen Ching thirty-six years ago in 1990. But I wanted to bring something new to Madison, something close to my heart. I opened Dumpling Haus in 2011. I wanted to share the food made for my family with all of you. And it’s been an amazing fifteen years.
Thank you for all your support. William and I are truly grateful that you all have become our family. I feel so lucky I got to meet all of you and cook for you. Nothing makes me happier than seeing you smile after scarfing down a plate of jiao zi or slurping a piping hot bowl of noodles.
That’s why writing this letter is so difficult.
May 30 will be our last day of business for Dumpling Haus. It’s very hard to let go but it’s time for us to retire. It’s been a great run.
We hope you’ll come by, share your favorite memory with us, and eat one last dumpling together.
Love, Jenny & William
